With over 3 decades of experience, he built a strong foundation for the company at inception in 2011. Sameer introduced physical auction of used vehicles and equipment to India, establishing over 100 large-format auction houses – Automalls across the country. Automalls empower buyers and sellers to interact, inspect, evaluate, bid and close transactions in a timely, transparent and cost-effective manner.
 
He is a veteran of the commercial vehicle and infrastructure/construction equipment industry. He is the foremost expert in the country for used vehicles & heavy equipment auctions with in-depth experience of over 30 years. Under his leadership, Shriram Automall has transacted over 10 lac commercial vehicles during the last ten years.
 
Supporting the Digital India movement, Shriram Automall uses technology as in relentless pursuit of a better customer experience. The company has introduced customer friendly MySAMIL App and Bharat first technological innovations like SMS Bidding and Desktop Live Bidding facilities to empower customer's businesses.
 
An ardent supporter of small businesses, his initiatives have elevated drivers and machine operators turning them to business owners. His work has contributed to uplifting farmers and transporters in their businesses through unique solutions in line with his vision.

His earnest vision for the company enabled the collaboration of Shriram Automall India Limited with MXC Solutions in 2018, making it India's leading solutions provider. The Group consists of SAMIL as South East Asia’s largest physical bidding platform, CarTrade Exchange which is India’s largest online bidding platform and Adroit Auto - a proactive service provider for inspection and asset valuation. Under his leadership, Shriram Automal acquired BlueJack to strengthen its cars selling business. Shriram Automall forayed into industrial auction of stressed assets by acquiring Augeo in 2020. Under his leadership, the company has also introduced three new brands The PriceX, Veriisure and Bijuka in 2021.

Education: Sameer graduated from University of Delhi and later joined the Institute of Cost and Work Accounts of India (ICWA). He holds a post-graduation degree in Financial Management from Sardar Patel College of Communication and Management.
 
Past Experience: Before establishing Shriram Automall India Limited, Sameer led Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (RBA)'s Asian Subcontitnent business for over 5 years. As Country Manager and Director for the world's largest industrial auctioneer he pioneered scaling up international partnerships & joint ventures in India.
 
As Senior Vice President, his decade long experience heading significant divisions of SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited (SREI) helped transform it into India's largest finance and rental group for infrastructure equipment.
 
Sameer's strong acumen in strategic analysis and focused management has contributed immensely to the business expansion of Shriram Automall India Limited, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited. He continues to travel extensively to the USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Germany, Singapore, South Africa and many other countries to understand the market dynamics of the vehicle/equipment auction industry.
 
As CEO of Shriram Automall India Limited, he brings relentless transparency and value-added services in the pre-owned vehicles and equipment segment in India.
